FARMTEC a.s. director general Ing. Václav Škeřík was both nominated and awarded prestigious award MANAGER OF THE YEAR2009 in the branch of services for agricultural entrepreneurs.
It is an important award not only for our director general but also for the whole company. For FARMTEC a.s. this basically means (together with TOP 100 award) to become more visible on the market. It is also a significant movement as far as the establishing of FARMTEC as a trade mark is concerned.
Manager of the Year competition is the most prestigious competition of its kind in the Czech Republic, which award managers, who helped their companies to achieve success and also contributed to development of a branch they work in. Candidates can be both from public and private sector but have to occupy a managerial position for at least 3 years and the residence of the company they work for must be in the Czech Republic.
Manager of the Year competition is organized by the Czech Management Asociation, the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and the Confederation of Employers and Entrepeunes Unions. Through the last named Confederation of Employers and Entrepeunes Unions the Agricultural Association of the Czech Republic belongs among the oficial anouncers of the competition.
Nominated candidates have to undergo several levels assessment during which economic achievements of the companies they work for are evaluated along with their personal skills and qualities. Together with other aspects a quality of a strategy to overcome an unfavourable economic situation, which the candidates choose, was assessed this year. A stress was laid on evaluation of a quality of human resources development in the companies the candidates work for.
