UNIBOX - Individual Calf Boxes

UniBoxes are demountable universal boxes for individual and group housing of calves during the milk feeding period. UniBoxes are installed under the roof - in air calf pens with a flat solid floor. Their design allows both individual, paired or group housing of calves and allows direct visual and tactile contact. They can be assembled into any configuration according to the dimensions of the stable and the number of animals in the rotations. The boxes are easily disassembled into individual parts, which can be perfectly cleaned and disinfected outside the stable.

The advantageous solution of Uniboxes is the possibility of their assembly into arbitrary sets without anchoring to the floor. This also enables thorough cleaning and disinfection of the stable and individual parts of the boxes. The possibility of joining calves into pairs and groups (e.g. before moving calves to group pens after weaning) prevents social stress of the animals and supports the intake of feed. The solution thus enables the fulfillment of any possible tightening of welfare requirements for housed calves.
