What are Vitalimeters?
They are smart collars for cows that monitor their behavior 24/7 and allow for effective herd management. At FARMTEC, we develop, test and manufacture all types of vitalimeters ourselves. Thanks to this, we have oversight over the quality and reliability of individual components, and we can flexibly respond to industry trends and customer requirements.
All types of vitalimeters allow to recognize deviations in the eating and rumination time of individual animals based on the physical principle of the accelerometer, evaluating movement in three axes. These records are continuously processed according to an innovative algorithm and sent to the receiving antenna.
Monitoring decreased activity, eating, and rumination will detect early signs of incipient disease before milk production declines. |
The identification chips for milking parlors we use are highly resistant to the operating conditions of the stable environment. The chips have an extended communication range, signal stability and are compatible with most milking parlor brands.
Data from vitalimeters is collected and evaluated by the Czech zootechnical program FARMSOFT, which is unique in its scope and implementation, as well as by the application Vitalimetr.com. |
